From Unterstalleralm via the Alpine road up to the biggest Alpine village in the valley, Oberstalleralm. Go past  and at the left side of the river head up to a flat area which is called "Beim Garten". Follow the river which now narrows until you get above the area where the valley widens again and proceeds in flatter terrain.

At an elevation of around 2400 m bear slightly left via moderately steep slopes to Arntaler Lenke. The Arntaler Lenke is the crossover point between the Arntal in the west and the Winkeltal in the east. ‘Lenke’ in Villgraten dialect means ‘crossover’. This tour is rarely down by tour skiers and should only be tackled in the spring, much like the adjoining Kugelwand, since it also has very low slope descent.
