The route network proceeds through a 600 year old larch wood and is actually a nature paradise. And you even get to learn something if you aren’t distracted by the genuinely paradisiacal conditions.
What was that all about in the book about the expulsion from Paradise? At the time something must have been misunderstood. At least there is still a paradise and it is located, where else, in East Tyrol. In Virgental to be more precise. And that is something you will soon notice – its name is no exaggeration, but an adequate description of the actual situation. The route network proceeds through a 600 year old larch wood and is actually a nature paradise. And you even get to learn something if you aren’t distracted by the genuinely paradisiacal conditions and you don’t notice the seven stations. You should focus your attention and take the seven stations to heart; that way you will learn something about the forest, its animals and its ecosystem.
Walking time during this circuit route is manageable. Even unpractised hikers should manage the route in 2 -3 hours; the circuit is definitely suitable for families and senior citizens, thanks to the well developed and somewhat flat route. You may of course enjoy a stop-off, if it’s all getting too long and you have taken in enough paradisiacal air. There is the Wodenalm for this very thing. One thing is sure - in Zedlacher Paradise you enter your own paradisiacal state. This is presumably due to the combination of nature, beauty and hiking. Paradise is waiting for you!
