Steiner Wasserfall

waterfall

The roaring waterfall Steiner Wasserfall tumbles from the mountain pasture Äußere Steiner Alm at a height of over 1000 meters into the valley. Therefore this waterfall, situated at the end of the valley basin of Matrei, belongs to the highest waterfalls throughout Austria. The name Steiner Wasserfall is derived from the mountain stream Steiner Bach, which is subdivided into the upper Steiner Wasserfall (height 160 meters) and the lower Steiner Wasserfall (height 120 meters)

Enjoy the best view of the waterfall Steiner Wasserfall above the district Prossegg next to the chapel Annakapelle!
