Guided Tour from the Nationalpark "Jagdhausalm - little Tibet of the Alps"

In the back of the Defereggental, you hike with the Nationalpark rangers through the "Oberhauser Zirbenwald" (Swiss Pine Forest), past alpine meadows and ancient stone walls to the "Little Tibet of the Alps" - the Jagdhausalm. The 16 stone houses and the rustic Maria Hilf Chapel are embedded in a picturesque natural setting at an altitude of 2.000 m and are among the oldest alpine meadows in Austria. Those who wish can visit the popular photo motif "Pfauenauge" (Peacock Eye) - a round lake behind a moraine wall - after a short ascent.
