On the occasion of International Museum Day, museums and cultural institutions in Osttirol are asking themselves how they can make a responsible contribution to social development in a time of social, technological and ecological upheaval.
 
Eighty years after the end of the Second World War, Osttirol's cultural workers are reminding us that peace is a precious thing and should not be taken for granted. A treasure that each and every one of us can and should help to preserve, step by step, with an open mind. Curiosity, creativity and critical thinking as building blocks of a society that offers encouragement in troubled times – the region's cultural institutions want to be pioneers and sources of inspiration in this regard.

Young Heart & Old Technology

Special tour exploring film history for young and young-at-heart In the age of the internet and the "digital natives" generation, new media allow for content to be streamed in real-time. In a special tour for young and young-at-heart individuals, museum director Gernot Vinatzer embarks on a quest to uncover the most important technical developments between still images, film reels, and YouTube. Significant scenes from film history will be included.
