Concert by the orchestra "Sinfonieorchester Lienz"

Against the impressive backdrop of the Archaeological Park Aguntum, the Lienz Symphony Orchestra invites you to a captivating summer night concert under the open sky on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Under the musical direction of Gerald Mair, the orchestra takes its audience on an enchanting journey through the sonic realms of southern Europe. The program features works by Emil Waldteufel, Georges Bizet, Isaac Albéniz, Jules Massenet, and many others – rhythmic temperament meets lyrical lightness and passionate expression.

The highlight of the evening will be traditional Spanish dance forms that convey the spirit of the South in a particularly impressive way. In addition to a seductive Habanera and a lively Aragonaise, the most famous Bolero in music history will be performed. These dances not only form the rhythmic climax but also impart an unmistakable Iberian flair to the concert – captivating, colorful, and full of southern energy.

A special highlight of the evening is the performance of the young guitarist David Strbac, who will capture the colors of Spain and the ambiance of Granada, Castile, and Aranjuez with his virtuosity.

Tickets are available at the tourist office Osttirol, Mühlgasse 11, or in the ticket shop at https://sinfonieorchester-lienz.at

In case of bad weather, the concert will take place in the hall "Stadtsaal" in Lienz.
