This skiing area with 2 mountain-runs and 45 km of snowy piste from 2.400 m down to 1.100 m, has the largest and most modern snow making equipment of the South Alps. For children up to 6 years of age the ski-centre “Sillian-Hochpustertal” lets these ski-princesses and piste-gnomes use the lifts free of charge. Also the ski-school with the club for children “Bobo” is geared up to look after the youngest of guests. “Innervillgraten” is East Tyrol’s El Dorado for ski-tours. The beautiful slopes above the tree-line are ideal for ski-tour skiers, who can enjoy rewarding and peaceful but challenging tours. Above the U-shaped valley tower rocky and gentle mountains with ridges, steep slopes and dense woodland. The guaranteed snow is an additional benefit for these ski-tours. None of these ski-tour areas is overrun with tourists, so quite often you can find slopes with virgin snow. The new ski-tour guide, as well as maps for winter- and summer walks including explanatory notes, are to be found at the Tourist Office.
