Two smaller areas are Obertilliach and Kartitsch, ideal for beginners and smaller budgets. A hit is also the floodlit night-piste on the “Dorfberglift” in Kartitsch.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING PARADISE NO. 1
You simply have to experience the tracks in the “Hochpustertal” and Tyrolean Gail Valley between Kartitsch and Untertilliach and you won’t be skiing anywhere else! Thanks to our snow making facilities there is snow on the 120 km tracks. The new Biathlon Centre in Obertilliach with skiing tracks and a shooting range is not just a training centre for athletes, but also for guests, who, under instructions, can prove their abilities in this sport.
Ski tours are also very popular. The mountains are not too high and the slopes not too difficult, but there are idyllic valleys and surrounding slopes that make the East Tyrolean mountain world with its pastures, plateaus and its peacefulness to a unique attraction.
Best of all: the Villgraten Valley. The sledging party will be rather noisy, as the “Hochpustertal” boasts of an especially curvy track.
SKIZENTRUM SILLIAN HOCHPUSTERTAL
This attractive skiing area with a dreamlike view of the spectacular Dolomites without waiting time at the lifts, has a transportation capacity of 10.000 visitors.
