It is a form of hunting that totally respects creatures. Its lovers get hooked on it. There’s no lead used on this line for the still hunt in crystal waters. Flawlessly the angler casts the line to serve the fish a tasty morsel. Nothing of the sort of a fly! The artificial insects are miniaturised works of art, perfect imitations of mayflies, stoneflies and caddis flies, together with several kinds of mosquitoes and common fresh water shrimps.

In East Tyrolean brooks and rivers you can mostly fish for trout and grayling and, if you are a champion, also Danube-salmon. The grayling, living free in clear water, is really appreciated by gourmets and can only survive in the pure waters. East Tyrolean mountain brooks flow through the rocks and often form idyllic small fishing pools, which, together with the rivers Isel and Drau, represent profitable hunting reserves. The valleys of Villgraten and Defereggen as the villages of Matrei and Kals in the National Park Region Hohe Tauern are with Lienz all much loved by anglers.
