We invite you to come and visit this sea of more than 100 mountains over 3.000 m high, the Großglockner 3.798 m as the highest mountain of the Alpine Republic and the Großvenediger 3.674 m. Prägraten on the Großvenediger, the most westerly village of the valley, is often venue for top sporting events.
The 4th Glockner-Stage (6th July) runs from Kitzbühel via Zell am See over the Großglockner, Iselsberg, Matrei in East Tyrol and finishes at the Village Hall of Prägraten (182 km). This was one of the highlights of the summer 2008. All keen cyclists and mountain bikers will find numerous ways to enjoy one or many of the cycle tours on offer.
