Well known and liked is the family walkers' paradise: Winkeltal - Volkzein and Thurntaler. Newly prepared are the walks Versellerberg-Ahornberg with wonderful view points of the Winkel and Villgraten Valleys.
These path-ways have received the “Tyrolean Mountain Paths Award” from the Tyrolean County Council, for the 5th time running. Assessed were exemplary classifications, markings, orientation, care and maintenance of these mountain paths. (Innervillgraten: “Bonner Höhenweg”, Außervillgraten: “Thurntaler Rundweg”).
MOUNTAIN-CYCLE-PATH INNERVILLGRATEN – 25 KM
Starting at the village (l.402 m), the cycle-path runs up North in direction “Taletalm”, and then on a wooded path passes the Berglet-Höfe (Berglet holding) (1.700 m). Then it turns down via the Gasser Höfe (Gasser holding) and over the pasture to “Unterstalleralm” (Refreshments) and then to “Oberstalleralm”. It continues via “Unterstalleralm” along the “Arntalweg” (Arntal path) to “Klamme” (gorge) and after the Bodemair Brücke (Bodemair bridge) passes the Bodemair Höfe (Bodemair holding) and the Schachlerhof (Schachler farm).
Next comes Schönegghof (Schönegg farm), where a beautiful view of the Villgraten Valley is offered. On the legendary “Peststeig”, the path leads to the Pilgrim Church “Maria Schnee”, being the 20 km mark. It follows the “Kalksteiner Bach” (Kalkstein stream) along the smugglers' route, and then, after the “Alpengasthof Bad Kalkstein”, it is back to the village centre of Innervillgraten via the road.
